Dog Wagon for Large Dogs

A year ago my dog tore a ligament in his knee and needed surgery. We live in an apartment and carrying his chonky butt down the elevator and to the grassy spot was not an option. We got a traditional folding cart but lifting him in and out several times per walk was killing my back. We got this wagon and it's low entry ramp was a life saver. It's metal frame and hard plastic wheels have held up well. The wheel locks are only on the front wheels so they slide but I find standing on the corner of the ramp keeps things still when my dog is going up or down the ramp. Now, a year later, he's due for his second knee surgery and I'm grateful to have this wagon in the closet ready to go.

Besides for the frustration of it actually shipping out, I’m in love with this wagon. My 90 lb senior pit bull is a major fan and can finally get us back outside for long walks.

This wagon is a wonderful resource to have for walking the larger older pets or just transporting them around when you're at a campground or other uses. Sadly I could not use hours because our dog passed away before we had a chance to. This company gladly refunded my money for an unused wagon. Red Camp has excellent customer service I highly recommend buying from them.

After an initial frustrating experience with FedEx, I've received the cart. I would also like to note that RedCamp was quick to offer a replacement during the time FedEx was having issues delivering (the FedEx warehouse near me is a disaster)... so, im very happy with the customer service.
On to the item... it was very easy to assemble. I immediately took my senior foster dog out for a stroll in it. Hes about 80lbs and will just lie there... he doesn't have the strength to go on any kind of a walk, so this is the only way to get him out into the world. I was initially impressed with the material of the wheels, and curious to see how well they hold up on sidewalks and pavement over time. The handle doesn't "lock" into place, but has a strap to keep it from falling to the ground. I may just add something to hold it in place better as ill use it more as a steoller than a cart right now... personal preference. Dog seemed to enjoy the ride, it was as smooth as can be expected. I did opt for the canopy as its summer and hes a black dog... it does the job. One other thing I noticed on first use is that when I put the "ramp" down for him to get out, its already gotten a small scuff and hole , so thats a bit disappointing. Overall, the compared to other strollers, the value for the price is hard to beat. Many cannot hold the weight that this can and are generally not large enough for a bigger dog.

Ask me again when it actually gets here and I've put it together! I didn't order expedited shipping because it 'appeared' it would only be a day or two. It's been like 5 days already since I ordered. We were really looking forward to it. It's a shame because my elderly Dad really needs it for his elderly post- surgical.pup. But now I don't even know if it will get here before I have to leave. 😞 Which means it will probably never get out of the box. BTW, my Dad wants to know, do you have a butt slider for an old guy who's gotta get down on the floor?
