Question: How to clean the sleeping bag? Is this machine washable?
Answer: Our sleeping bags can take a spin in the machine wash!
Spot Clean: Take a soft cloth and some mild soap to wipe down the dirtiest areas, then soak the spot in warm water for an hour.
Gentle Cycle: Place the sleeping bag in the washing machine, select the cold water gentle cycle to protect its delicate fibers.
Mild Detergent: Add a mild detergent to maintain the material's quality and integrity.We suggest using an appropriate cleaner for your down or synthetic bag and avoiding using too much soap.
Drying: Air dry your sleeping bag, ideally in a shaded area. If you must use a dryer, select a low heat setting and include tennis balls to help fluff up the filling
Storage: Store your sleeping bag in a cool, dry place, loosely packed to maintain its fluffiness and war

We ordered two of these (a 2# and a 3#, both allegedly cotton fill/ flannel) from Walmart. For me, sleeping on anything but cotton feels like sleeping inside a Ziplock, so on our road trip we planned to zip these together and use them on top of the inns' beds.
The first night, we both awakened, roasting. I checked the fabric content on the tag on the bag itself, and it said the filling was "polyster" and the lining 80% cotton (with no information given re the balance). Interestingly, the stuff bags both claimed they were what we ordered. We returned that set and we're going to order some directly from Redcamp today, and hope that they're the real deal.

The bag is warm, and the lining is very cozy. It's a little bulky for a backpack but it's very comfortable
