These skewers are far more than I was expecting for the price! They're extremely sturdy. They're sharp enough to go through a raw potato without bending. They're well insulated, so they only get warm to the touch, not scorching hot. The food stays put, which makes it easy to turn food on the grill or cook over the campfire. We found that this particular set is a bit short for the campfire, but they're fine on a regular grill. I love that we're not just spinning a skewer inside the kabob. The meat and veggies spin with the skewer so all sides get cooked. You know when you're trying to toast marshmallows, and while they're over the fire, they start to sag, and the outside crust comes off? Then you're left with a blob of marshmallow desperately clinging to the regular skewer, usually to no avail. BUT... with these skewers, the blob stays put, and you can toast the marshmallow again. (BONUS!)
